Overview
This patch focuses on previously unpassable quest steps. Wrath of the Emperor could not be started because none of the seven observation slits would open. In What a Foolish, completing The Ice Islands first permanently broke the sulphur step, causing the interaction to fail silently. Both issues are resolved, alongside fixes for several chests and levers that rewarded the wrong items or nothing at all. Additionally, players can no longer advance both factions of the Djinn War simultaneously.
Quest Steps That Could Not Be Passed
-
Wrath of the Emperor (Mission 1): None of the seven observation slits responded, preventing the mission from starting. The light-gate floors also loaded with the lamps already extinguished, and the guard hazard lacked an active trigger. All three mechanics are now functional.
-
What a Foolish (The Sulphur Step): Completing The Ice Islands prior to Mission 8 caused the lava hole interaction to fail silently without an error message, permanently stalling quest progression. Mission 10 was similarly blocked, and starting the quest improperly overwrote an unrelated quest marker.
-
What a Foolish (Mission 3): The pie box can no longer be transported away from Edron via parcel or Pino's carpet. Pino will now refuse transport, and mailing the box infests it with parcel bugs as originally intended. Mirabell also correctly responds to orders.
-
Children of the Revolution (Mission 4): The quest-provided flask of extra greasy oil failed to interact with the lizard levers because the script checked for an unobtainable world container located outside Zao. The levers now properly accept the player's flask.
-
The Calassa Comb Door: Resolved an issue where the door remained permanently sealed for all players, which previously prevented claiming the first Oriental addon.
Quests & Rewards
-
The Djinn War: Added faction validation checks to two mission NPCs, preventing players from running the Marid and Efreet storylines concurrently.
-
Blood Herb & Fire Axe Quests: Corrected swapped quest storage values that previously caused Zao to distribute rewards for the wrong quest.
-
Elvenbane Chest: Corrected the chest loot table to no longer dispense a Blood Herb.
-
Missing Chest Rewards: Restored the mirror to the Longsword bag, completed the loot table for the Power Bolts spider room, created the missing Small Sapphire chest, and enabled the reward payout for Kingdom of Kormarak.
-
Mintwallin & Key 3667: The Cyclops lever now properly shifts the wall, making Key 3667 obtainable.
-
Triangle Tower: Corrected the entrance lever's target storage reference so pulling it functions as intended.
-
Serpentine Tower: Restored the caged creatures.
-
Medusa Shield Sacrificial Stones: Daily gem rewards are operational again.
-
Koshei the Deathless: Fixed the reward door check, which previously queried an uninitialized variable and refused to open.
-
Warmaster Outfit: Restored access to the outfit and purged six obsolete, dangling script registrations.
-
Deeper Banuta Shortcut: Fixed the lizard head teleport to listen for the correct quest flag.
-
NPC Fixes: Tereban now correctly pays the promised 8,000 gold reward, and Sam now recognizes the standard dialogue prompt.
-
Quest Marker Separation: Separated shared storage keys across ten chests (including the Voodoo Doll and Geomancer quests) to prevent actions in one quest from inadvertently completing another.
Experience & Client
-
Detailed XP Breakdown: The client now itemizes each individual bonus contributing to your active experience rate rather than displaying a single flat value.
-
Stamina Display: Fixed an issue where the stamina bar could display values exceeding 100%.
-
Accurate XP Rates: Synchronized the client display with the server's actual applied gain rate.
